Crystal's wedding

My friends Crystal and John tied the knot on October 20, 2007. I must love them dearly because I missed the Purdue-Iowa game in order to attend!

Purdue won by the way 31-6!

Like pulling teeth...

Abby had a dentist appointment on October 11 and found that she had two teeth that needed to come out. She did not want anyone to touch them, but when given the choice between the dentist pulling them out with numbing medicine or daddy sitting on her at home and pulling them out, she made the right choice!

October weekends

The first 2 weekends in October were pretty busy. On October 6, Purdue hosted Ohio State

at Ross Ade. The game was late, didn't start until after 8 pm. So, Abby was pretty tired after being on campus all day and taking part in the festivities. We ended up leaving at halftime which was just as well since our Boilermakers got their helmets handed to them!

On October 14, we went for our annual pumpkin patch trip. Abby could have spent all day at the petting zoo and I lost her in the corn maze!

Later that night we joined Matt at Clowe's Hall for a performance of Cirque Dreams~ a very fun day!

I am very high tech. My camera is a Kodak disposable. Sometimes it takes me awhile to have them developed. Case in point, these pictures which date back to this time last year! I had them developed 3 days ago!

Central Michigan at Purdue September 14, 2007

This was Abby's first game of the season. We were able to see her grandpa and Janet for a little while before the game started. Abby finally got the jersey she has been asking for. Purdue won the game 45-22.

Purdue Football vs. Eastern Illinois, September 8, 2007

Purdue's first home game of the season happened to be on my 38th birthday. Abby was with Matt in Indianapolis so I took my friend Hollee. It was Hollee's first Purdue football game and there was a torrential downpour. The game was suspended for a time due to lightning. Purdue won the game 52-6. While we were getting pelted with rain, Abby and Matt basked in luxury at a hotel on the Circle. Interesting how different the weather can be only 60 miles away!

Abby's first day of fifth grade

These are pictures we took before Abby's first day of school August 14, 2007. She looks so grown up and thinks she is grown as well. I can't believe that this is her last year of grade school. Her teacher's name this year is Mrs. Hale and her classroom is room 611. Her student teacher is Miss Hughes. She has PE every Monday and Thursday, Music on Tuesday and Wednesday, Art on Friday and Library on Monday. This year she also goes to a different room and teacher for math to help her get used to changing classrooms like she will in middle school. Mrs. Krynak is her math teacher and she also happened to be Abby's 3rd grade teacher.
